VDS stands for Virtual Dedicated Server.
VDS Hosting allows each Web Site to operate independently from all other Web Sites on the same physical machine. Within a physical machine, Virtual Dedicated Servers have their own server software that runs inside an isolated file directory and provides autonomy for each web site. It allows site owners to have a full control of the environment with administrative privileges and to install additional applications.
It secured and stabled compared to shared hosting.
If any VDS is compromised it affects only that VDS and others on that server remain unaffected.
To sum up, a VDS has the benefits of a Dedicated Server at a lower cost. |

| In case of a DDos attack to a specific IP, this attack will affect the other customers? |

What is a 'Virtual Server'?
A Virtual Dedicated Server, sometimes called a Virtual Private Server, is a dedicated server which has been split into entirely separate smaller chunks, each of which is its own self-contained server running within the physical machine. Our VDSs provide full root access and when you're logged in, you can do nearly everything you could with a full dedicated server.
A VDS therefore provides the full flexibility of a dedicated server - you are free to install your own software and configure the system to your exact needs as there are no other users - at just a fraction of the cost. They are perfect for development environments, simple applications, and sites which need the security of a dedicated server but don't need the additional power.
Our VDSs come with either 128Mb, 256Mb or 512Mb of RAM which can be upgraded at any time with a simple reboot should you require additional resources. By default we install CentOS 5 however other Linux/unix distributions can be installed on request, and we can also install Windows Server 2003 Standard for an additional £15/month (or free with your own license). We recommend a minimum 256Mb RAM for VDSs running cPanel or Windows. _________________ Virtual Server |

Hello Friends....
Virtual dedicated servers offer many of the capabilities and features of dedicated servers, including admin (root) access and dedicated IP addresses, but at a much lower price. However, as a virtual dedicated server is, indeed, virtually dedicated, the customer in fact shares the server space with a small number of other customers.

While our shared hosting is excellent for the majority of hosting, this sort of isolation is required for shops which may want to take very personal data - such as card details.
Thanks to all. _________________ Laptop Battery |

A virtual dedicated server (VDS) is a virtualization technology that performs and acts just like a physical dedicated server. Think of it as a dedicated server without the hardware or the hassles. With VDS, you have full control over your hosting environment, including root access. Install custom apps, create your own databases, run a personal firewall, and create nearly unlimited virtual accounts. For someone with dozens of websites, or a reseller, VDS makes a lot of sense. It's the next step after virtual hosting. _________________ Dedicated server hosting |

VDS is a method of dividing a physical server into several independent virtual machines. Each virtual server can run its own operating system itself has a separate file system, CPU and RAM, etc.It is a set of application programming interfaces that provides a single interface for managing disks in Windows Server 2003 operating . _________________ 4gb m2 |
