Well the easiest to learn is Photoshop, but try and start with Illustrator as that is the better choice for Logo Design and other things as it produces Vector images and not Bitmap like Photoshop.

There is only one software that is considered the most essential for a designer. And that is Adobe Photoshop.

Adobe photoshop is the best. It's a bit expensive but quality compensates for price.

I would recommend you first take adobe photoshop, its the best graphic designer learning software for starters. it has a lot of features that will help you learn the advanced tools easily.

Adobe Photoshop is the best software. If you don't have money to buy it, you can use trial version. Also you can find many tutorials in Google search.

I use Adobe Photoshop CS4 edition. You can also use GIMP- open source one
